The European window market is characterized by the dominance of the polyvinylchloride (PVC) window. PVC windows are relatively inexpensive, easy to maintain and have a long expected service life. However, there are some concerns related to sustainability, health and environmental issues of PVC. The objective of our research project is to develop and manufacture a window profile based on a wood-plastic composite (WPC) formulation without PVC. |
